One of the nation's fastest-rising comedy stars, Kabir Singh is a huge crowdpleaser with an abundance of energy, an in-your-face attitude and clever material. He stands out as a star on and off stage and is regularly loved by men and women of all ages. Kabir began his stand up comedy career in 2009 where within 9 months he won the Bay Area Comedy Competition, beating 170 other comedians who were far senior than him in stand up which prompted him to focus and 100% dedicate himself to the world of comedy. This didn’t just happen overnight. Kabir didn’t just become a comedian 9 years ago, he has been a comedian all his life, just not stand up till 2009.

Born in 1984 in Portland, Oregon to stereotypical Indian parents, Kabir Singh realized at an early age that it wouldn’t be easy making friends at school. Luckily for Kabir, he soon became known as the funniest Indian kid in Oregon — not too difficult considering he was the only Indian kid in Oregon. When he was nine, his family moved to Bombay, India where he was bullied and teased for being American which taught him how to make people laugh in no less than three languages just to make friends to survive. The first day of school, four kids greeted Kabir with fists and kicks just for being different, three years later when it was time to go home, those same four kids were crying and hugging him on his way out. At 12, Kabir moved back to the US where he was made fun of for being Indian! He went to two junior high schools and two high schools and all he did was make friends everywhere he went with his charm, out of pocket charisma and humor. Kabir cleverly delivers his life experiences and the culture clashes of being an Indian in America and an American in India to the stage. Kabir has two sisters, one is a doctor from Harvard and the other is a lawyer in Long Beach, CA so you can imagine how proud his family is that Kabir decided to grab a mic and talk trash about them 7 days a week in front of strangers….So proud…

Since Kabir began stand up comedy, he has accomplished amazing things that his friends, family and fans are all proud of. In 2012 Kabir taped his TV debut just 3 and a half years in on the “Starz Network” for the TV series “StaannDUP!” hosted by Donnell Rawlings where he was featured as the first comedian on Episode 1.That set led to a Comedy Central audition where he performed in front of Gabriel Iglesias. Thirty seconds after Kabir got off stage, Gabriel approached him and asked him to be a part of Season 3 of “Stand Up Revolution” on Comedy Central where Kabir was again featured on Episode 1 as the first comedian of the season. Later that same year Kabir won the “San Francisco International Comedy Competition” by coming in first place in all five shows in the final round. That was the first time that’s happened in its rich 39 year history (which included past competitors like Dana Carvey, Robin Williams, Ellen Degeneres, Louis CK, Patton Oswalt, Marc Maron, Doug Stanhope and Dane Cook) and there was no looking back after that. Kabir has worked on numerous amazing projects including for the “Fox Network” including “The Family Guy,” “Laughs” on Fox and Hulu and the TV series game show “Punchlines.” in 2017 Kabir went up against over 1100 of the best comedians all over America in the “NBC Stand Up” National Competition and was selected for the Top 8 Final Showcase at Hollywood Improv in front of a high level, industry-filled audience where he absolutely murdered the place which lead to several up and coming projects and deals soon to be in development.

Kabir doesn’t get on stage and tell jokes, he invites every member of the audience into a world where it feels like there are just two people in the room. It feels like he already knows who you are the second he gets on stage and then he does what only few great comedians can do which is simply be himself, establish a connection and make you laugh for an hour. Off stage, some may even say Kabir is funnier. His is charm, determination and most importantly ability to make you feel like you have known him for years by using his weapon of choice, humor, it is nearly impossible for anyone not to love and respect Kabir’s off the chart talent.
